As I write this blog it’s Sunday night and I’m recalling the awesome time we, meaning my wife and I had with all of our friends that partook in the festivities of my 30th Birthday PARTY, yes my actual birthday was the 19th but the party celebration was this weekend and I say weekend because it happened ALL WEEKEND LONG….

I personally was “Brewed in California” meaning I was born in Nor Cal, Sunnyvale to be exact and grew up from 7 on in San Diego, Poway to be exact…
So when I saw this logo/icon/whatever you wanna call it, Nic actually said “that would be a sweet tattoo”
So here I am at 30 years old getting a tattoo that’s “ME”, California + Beer+ Golden State+ Lil Chargers Bolt on SD= KILLER TATTOO!!!!!!
Thanks to TODD RING who’s at Immortal Tattoo in Scottsdale, AZ, you rule thanks man!!!
This is RIGHT after it’s done so better pics later.

By the way I invite ANY and all to get this tattoo in the shape of your home state, that would rule!
some shapes don’t make HUGE mugs but small shot glasses but still cool!

Since I posted last I was back from Vegas, home in AZ for my birthday then I took off just over 24 hours later up to Portland, my home away from home…
For what you might ask well doing the voiceover sessions for the FORMULA DRIFT TV show beginning to air Oct 25th on SPEED, CHECK FORMULAD.COM FOR MORE INFO...

While at the airport I picked up some reading material, the latest SPIN featuring KINGS OF LEON, ironic how I was going to see KOL in Portland on this very trip (more on them later….)

Also, had to read the Obama interview in Rolling Stone…

Then I noticed this magazine cover, I thought to myself seriously can Justin Timberlake do ANYTHING he wants, I want to be in that guys shoes nowadays, not N*SYNC (notice I rocked the asterisk, haha) days, but seriously he can do it all, he’s on the cover a golf magazine, kudos to him man! Hole in One, touche’

So off to PDX from PHX, I get my welcoming Taxi service from THE Producer of Formula Drift TV Chabin aka Cha-boing-boing…

He b-lines to a mysteriously swanky place, somewhere that looks like I’d take a prom date to if I was trying to get into her pants, Ryan and I questioned his motive, but overall the view and food was good, thanks Chabin but next time at least buy if you’re looking to get “lucky”..

Leaving the parking lot, I stumbled across 2 lost shoes and I wondered why 2 lost shoes but what’s more weird not even the same pair, it’s like they have minds of their own and 2 “hobo” shoes are kicking it together, hobo shoe love!!

BUMMER part, can’t take cameras or so they said, but when I get in people SNAPPING away, WTF!!

Next Morning, Wake up and I have some time to meet up with my BLOG-O buddy, the infamous one and only Prison Loving homeboy… ROB HEPLER aka Hep-Dog (don’t know what link you wanna hit try this one his BlackLodges Blog)!
Hepler is residing in Portland for a hot-minute and GSD (Getting Shit Done), I’m telling you!!

He’s part of a radical program at a prestigious agency, Wieden Kennedy I’m not sure I can speak about it, but regardless, HE’S ON IT…
He gave me a tour of the agency he’s kicking it, learning, soaking in and getting into some debauchery… Atta boy!

Get a seat on the flight I’m stoked, talking to my wife on the phone and I look right, its the damn guitarist for Kings of Leon, Matthew to be exact… I had to say something as I’ve been a fan of Kings of Leon since day one, so 5 years!
“Great show last night, you guys killed it” he responds “thanks man”, I see he and his crew are heading into the same eatery that I frequent within the gates as you wait, I have a pint or 24 oz.
Then I notice his sidekick is Nathan, drummer for KOL, congratulate him as well, make a long story short…
I was bummed I didn’t have my camera at the show YET, it was an honor to rap out with Matthew and Nathan of Kings of Leon and even better drink beers with them and their manager…
Thanks guys, Peace and lets grab some more drinks when we catch up…

I caught some DC Life shoes, the ones in the middle, rarely do I EVER wear white shows but seemed like the right thing to do… But the Ryan Smith shoes are SOLID, just my style, low key durable and DC’s..

Then, I’m telling you I HAVE GREAT FRIENDS, My homeboy Caleb of ENEMY2FASHION, Check his BLOG sent me some tee’s… They’re for sale check out the site for MORE INFO!!!!!!!!1
Sorry for the nudeness, I won’t be wearing these to the mall playground I guess…

Then my In-laws, stoked me out by sending me a book that I actually blogged about MONTHS ago, she remembered!!! That’s rad, I love the classic Disney posters like the 70′s hand painted Tomorrowland and Frontierland poster, Thanks mom and Dad… Plus they caught me a book that sounds killer, PUN INTENDED!!!
Can’t wait to read it!

Lastly, MY FAVORITE holiday is around the corner, I love Hallows Eve aka Halloween, it’s the JAM!!!
I used to love dressing up, getting candy and then getting older reaking havoc late into the night…
This is a picture of me when I was 4 years old, home made Kermit costume… Those aren’t neck rolls BTW I’m wearing a turtle neck or a frog neck I guess, weird…
Anyways, I can’t wait this is PJ’s first FOR REAL like, he “gets it” Halloween, Buzz Lightyear to the rescue….

Well Yesterday, Sunday Oct 19th was my birthday I actually do feel a little older today, kind of cool..
It was a good chill day as I hung with my family, some friends and then preparing for next weekend’s BIG PARTY, yep for those in the know..You know what’s up!!!

This past weekend, I mentioned that Barrett Jackson was going down in Vegas well yours truly headed out there to MC for the Ford Racing Drifting Experience driven by my good homie Vaughn Gittin Jr. & his acomplice Doug Van Den Brink…

Fly the “no hidden charges” airline, they actually have free soda and free power for your phone…

They do supply soda and drinks but NOT the Mini Sailor Jerry rum. BTW it is legal to carry on the lil guys…

Hello people…
This Sunday I turn 30 years old and just think SERIOUSLY 30!!!
I recall being 15 with my ML homies Mike O and W and Erwynn dreaming of when where we’re gonna go when we get our licenses instead we listened to Domino in the garage and played football in the street, those were the days!!!
Here I am reminiscing about it sounding OLD!! But I’m not at all!! I’m 30 damnit and I’m 21 in my mind!!!

P.S. Not Post Script but Pre-script I LIVE IN Arizona, if you don’t know now you know…

Living in AZ sometimes you know what to expect with some people, spots, places and things, but today I was caught off guard with some solidness all around.

First off I heard about this shop right here in my hood, well Phoenix area, Scottsdale to be exact by a homie from out of town…
I had to check it out..
I introduce you to HIGH POINT SHOES and well shoes isn’t the only thing they’re getting into…1st point of solidness

Immediately when my son and I walked in we were welcomed with a “what shoes are you wearing?” and a nice handshake, it was cool to see welcoming employees and a nice product of a store…

After speaking to, who we learned to be Thomas, 2nd point of solidness, Manager of the shop other worked came out while Parker played with their selection of kicks while we spoke.
I later met Eric and forgot the other dudes name at this point in time sorry, but he boned out…

Also, the name relevance is that the owner is Adrian Wilson Safety for the AZ Cardinals and his hometown is High Point, NC solid point #4, that’s dope….

Then the last point of solidness, Then speaking to Eric he’s 1/2 of a company called DEARLY DEPARTED… it’s in the works and I can imagine after meeting this dude it’ll be good and from what I understand his other 1/2 of “DD” writes for some solid mags, Vapors, Format, etc…
