My wife and I took our son Parker to his 1st concert ever this past week…
Angels & Airwaves was the band, figured it was gonna be a solid show, mellow enough but also enough guitar, drums and music for him to handle…

It ended up being a blast, thanks to David Kennedy the guitarist and Poway, CA (My hometown) native for hooking up the tix!

Before the show gotta grab some food and I’ve been telling my wife about this place La Bocca on Mill Ave in Tempe, AZ, my friend is the GM…

So much drifting going on this weekend….

In Montreal, Quebec Canada the 1st round of DMCC the Drift Mania Canadian Championship and then at Englishtown, New Jersey at Englishtown Raceway Park, East Coast Bash sanctioned by Tim and the infamous Matt Petty of Club Loose is going down!!!

DMCC is going to be some of the Great White Norths finest drifters and some from the United States such as returning 2009 DMCC Champion Matt Waldin who’s pictured in the banner below….

Then Club Loose, as judging by the AWESOME event poster (Matt I NEED ONE) is an all debauchery filled weekend with tires, cars, BBQ’s, BEERS, booze and bros! It’s gonna be a track event mixed with some serious fun!

We’ve seen many videos in the drifting world over the years, Laputka, Dead Pirate, Mob Theory, Skyler, some others that might be slipping my mind right now plus some new faces in the mix, two characters that are admired and part of the media pit push themselves and progression of drift films are Will “Froegge” Roegge and Joshua “Hobo” Herron aka the Keep Drifting Fun Dynamic Duo!

Their latest masterpiece that they’ve released is seriously super well shot, love the insight and commentary and just overall entertaining… The Kevin Wells shots, the logistics of having the cameras rolling at all times, unreal.

The video features Chris Forsberg 2009 Formula Drift Champion in his NOS Energy Drink V8 350Z and his Round 2 of Formula Drift experience as narrated by him and seen through the eyes of Will, Josh and of course Chris
Congrats fellas and of course thanks for my cameo presenting Chris the 3rd place now signature carbon fiber Formula Drift trophy at the end…

So Last week, Thursday afternoon I get a call around 4pm from my homie Chris “Wanna go on my boat to the lake?”

I’m so stoked on all the media, photographers, filmers and attention Formula Drift and Drifting in general is getting as of recent… As you may or may not know I’ve been MC’ing Formula Drift for now our 7th year and now involved with DMCC (Drift Mania Canadian Championship), XDC (Xtreme Drift Circuit) Pro Am, Vegas Drift, even know MC’ng X Games Rally and Winter X Games snowmobiling, I feel blessed for all of it… Thank you to all parties involved some since day one and some since TODAY! Fans, sponsors, drivers, you’re all fam! Thank you!

Logan Hicks kills it…
I remember meeting Logan YEARS ago when I lived in San Diego and rented cars at Enterprise Rent a car probably about 9-10 years ago.
He’d moved from Maryland and was making art and doing some other stuff, good dude!
Then fat forward to even last year where I randomly ran into him in a deli in Brooklyn, he’s a solid dude with even more amazing artistry talent…

My wife was out of town this past weekend so me and my son had a weekend to ourselves, it was awesome…
Here’s whats up!

Went and got lunch at one of our favorite Mexican food spots inside of a Mexican market it rules!

Went and hit Vivid Racing, peep the cars their working on and own…
Project M5 gets thumbs up from PJ…It’s gonna be different in t minus 2 seconds…

360, M5, STi, F430… Serious…

At night we went and rendezvoused in Scottsdale with my friend JAMES KIRKHAM a solid dude that has a huge heart and a bigger lead foot behind the wheel of a race car, check out his website…

The next day, Saturday went and hooked up with James again to check out the karting races put on CKI Championship Karting International out at PKRA Phoenix Kart Racing Association in Glendale…

CKI is supporting some drivers to work their way up the ranks, James, MMI and Alpinestars has designed these graphics and suits for those particular drivers, pretty sick and supportive…

Last week I “checked out” for a couple days after Formula Drift Atlanta because well to put it as candidly and honest as I can my grandfather Floyd DeAnda passed away, he was 81 and as i’ll put it shortly a historically, memorably and honestly just a fun loving man with man lives, loves, and memories left in his wake…
Love you Grandpa, see ya when I do…
The clarity that shines was seeing family that I hadn’t seen in years…
