This past Saturday night was historic on so many levels, a new Formula Drift Champion was crowned, the action was some of the best driving we’ve seen collectively, record breaking numbers for the The House of Drift and just overall the evening was ELECTRIC…
The whole weekend was a blast!!!!!!!!!!

Sunday morning even after staying up til 4am, I was up at 7AM for the Tour de Formula Drift with the Lycra loving bike riders… including the winner of Irwindale Tyler McQuarrie…
30 miles with a hangover, homies and some burritos was a great way to reoup after an amazing event!

I headed up to North Idaho aka NIdaho to tighten up the Formula drift TV show that airs on Versus Channel, see the air dates HERE!

Before I peaced out this past weekend was football for PJ, crab feast with friends then Monday-Wednesday headed to NIdaho!

Parker lookin tough, I know sucks he’s the Chiefs but whatever…

My wife caught & brought these crab home from Seattle area (insert joke here)…
Peep the bangin Dogfish Head Namaste beer, highly recommend, GREAT BEER!

Northern Idaho is seriously UNREAL!

When in Montreal I got stay with my friends Albert and Frankie, they just had a baby girl, Nikita, less than a week old, so cute!

Super random we walk in and there’s nobody else there, EXCEPT the Montreal natives, Epic Meal Time fellas Harley, Tyler and Muscles glasses but Muscles was busy cleaning his shades… + myself of course…
Of all the places to go we run into these Foodigans at this BBQ spot, we got friends of friends so random!

I have some great friends…
I get laced up with some killer gear, tee’s, equipment, etc…
BUT people always say “man you get hooked up!”…
My response nothing is FREE, people hook it up because they’re rad, nice, courteous, giving, and know that I will rock, run it, promote it, etc…. Nothing is FREE, I like the term complimentary…
There’s NO FREE lunch!

So I had my 1st ever ride on my newest steed the Felt Z5, I’m in LOVE!!!!
Here’s a pic/evidence of my 1st ride and me in spandex, if you’re gonna do it, do it right!
Started at The Coffee Shop in Gilbert, AZ and took a 16 mile loop, was stunning weather and good riders on tri bikes with me, my friend Steve and a new friend Grant! Stoked!

This is my first kit, Pearl Izumiboth top & bottoms, PRO Series bib shorts & Select jersey… even my gloves are Pearl Izumi
People told me don’t skimp on a chamois and good shorts, your butt will thank you!

How much is your head worth? Well mine is guess is sub $200 but more than $100, haha
But I have a HUGE head and found the right lid for me…
The lightest helmet on the market, LOUIS GARNEAU X-Lite…

Sits good on my head, low, light and good flow/venting, this is after 2 rides, one 16 miles & other 14 miles…

I’m in love with cycling and look forward to pedaling more, with friends, whomever all good!!!!!!!

SUGGESTIONS:
I just started using MapyMyRide.com for tracking in addition to a computer I have on my handlebars any other recommendations?!?!!

May 26th 2011 marks a day that I think could be infamous…
The day I purchased and took ownership of my first road bicycle…

I’m super psyched to get into it for fitness, fun and whatever comes along with it, I’m pumped to pedal…

My bike of choice is the Felt Bicycles 2011 Z5, this bike had the components, features and riding style that was recommended to me by a few people…

I purchased the bike directly from Felt Bicycles thanks to my friend he hooked it up and sent it to a Felt dealer, My local bike shop I chose was Tempe Bicycles, they’ve been around for year, knowledgeable staff and very accommodating and cool… Plus the guy working on my bike is into drifting and driving himself…

Needed a longer stem because of my height, hooked up a Ritchey stem…

Going clip ins, Speedplay Zero Stainless Steel is what I was told would be good…

Shoe role was filled by Shimano SH-RIO6L, I see alot of white shoes I gotta go black…

She’s home and just waiting for me to get my helmet (of course), ancillary equipment and YES spandex, I’m down and psyched!
Thanks Felt Bicycles, Alan at Felt, Scotty Cranmer for hooking it up and also the guys at Tempe Bicycle Croy, Brad & the gang…
